The goal of this course is to introduce the Cloud Computing (CC) concept and to give which are their main features of this hot topic paradigm. Moreover, the course shows the importance of developing data repository and management solutions in the cloud, emphasizing the huge impact the CC solutions have in the production processes as well as the main advantages of CC compared with a local deployment solution. Finally, some examples of medium-large size companies using Cloud Computing in their businesses models are presented.
